Poem 1

10/20/09
Carpe Diem (Seize the Day)
Horace

I had always heard the phrase Carpe Diem, or seize the day in English, but I never knew that it came from a poem. Then I read this poem and thought that it was the perfect compliment to the phrase. "While we speak, envious time will have already fled, SEIZE THE DAY and place no trust into tomorrow." It makes me feel that I should seize everyday like the poem says.
